Interview : with Alexander Georgiev : after match with Sokolis in ''GFC 2''

OnlyFighters : Ιt was a tough fight for you against Sokolis, as we all saw. What do you think about Sokolis? He deserved the win against you?

Αlexander Georgiev : Yes the fight was tough, i knew it was not going to be an easy one. Sokolis won the fight obviously, and he deserved it fairly.

ΟnlyFighters : You took a lot of punches from Sokolis. After the match you were really off and exhausted. Was he really so tough for you? You think in a rematch you could maybe win him?

Αlexander Georgiev : Yes i took some tough punches to my head in the second round, he is a tough fighter, my main problem was that i did not play as i should have. Every fighter that has lost from someone is willing to have a rematch in order to try to change his strategy and to prove he is getting better, so in that sense for sure i would like a rematch at some point.

ΟnlyFighters : What do you have to say about the strong hands and punches of Sokolis. You felt them really good on your body and face. We all thought that it was really hard for you. Was his strength a surprise to you?

Αlexander Georgiev : Yes his punches are good and he is fast, but i could have picked a better strategy for him and then it could have been different.

ΟnlyFighters :
Sokolis had a tough time trying to give you a guillotine on the ground. You seemed to be very experienced and managed to escape several times from this difficult position. You think you are a better grappler than Sokolis?

Αlexander Georgiev :
Well i think i have good experience on the ground, and yes i didn't feel as bad on the ground as on the stand up.

ΟnlyFighters : What do you like about fighting. Is fighting your life? You think of it all the time?

Αlexander Georgiev : I have taken it seriously and i don't think of it as short term thing. I like the warrior way of living, the hard trainings and the challenges, this is my life!

ΟnlyFighters : Among all the opponents you had all this time, who was the strongest, who really gave you a lot of pain and who was the easiest, the one you think he still remembers the way you fought him?

Αlexander Georgiev : I never had an easy fight, and i don't have that many fights either. But Sokolis and the fight before him that i had in Sofia were the two tough fights that i had until now.

ONLY_FIGHTER wishes ALEXANDER GEORGIEV the BEST!
